Get Connected

Are you tired of searching various forums and websites to find like-minded individuals? Or, are you a group looking to recruit additional members? Our Get Connected feature will help you network with other preppers, create your own groups, and allow others to RSVP to your events.

Get Connected

One of our main goals is to provide preppers a practical means to meet other like-minded individuals. All of us have faced the challenges of meeting other preppers using forum boards and social networking sites. Or, if you are already a group and do not have a website, you have been restricted by limited functionality. We at Prepper Link decided enough is enough, and leveraged current technology to provide a networking solution for the prepper community. The Get Connected feature is a social networking platform, that:

  1. Allows you to participate in discussions and send messages, while controlling who sees your data. There are multiple security procedures in place, and you also have the ability to control what is viewed by site members, friends, and group members.
  2. Allows you to add individuals as friends, has a private message system, and a chat tool.
  3. Allows you to create a group and join existing groups. You can even decide if you want your group to be private or open to the public. If you already have a group, you can use the Get Connected Feature to communicate, share documents and pictures without the need to have your own website. If you already have a website - great. Use our Get Connected feature to recruit other members.
  4. Allows the search of member profiles using regional, key words, and other search terms. By using our search tool, you can find individuals that are possibly a good fit, and add them as a friend or group member.
  5. Allows the creation of events with full RSVP functionality. Both users and groups can create events, and these events can be restricted to invited individuals, a certain number of individuals, group members, or share your event with the public. You decide.
  6. Allows the creation of surveys and applications which can be sent to other site users. From a group perspective, you can create a application for potential candidates, screen their application, and decide if you want them to be part of your group. From a marketing standpoint, businesses can create surveys to see which products should be advertised.
  7. Provides a network map which allows you to see your friends and the events you have RSVP’d. The network map is dependent on a member’s personal data, and requires the city and state.

I am a male, 61 years old. I have retired; I have 20 years in the Army. My Specialty was in reconnaissance; most of that time was patrolling the borders of East Germany and Czechoslovakia with the Cavalry Units stationed there at the time. I had a short tour in Berlin. Small Unit Tactics up to a Company level is the greatest asset I would bring to a group, which includes many areas of security operations. Had two tours teaching with the Armor School at Ft. Knox KY in these and other subjects, and 15 years practice in the field environment. My skills also include first aid, NBC actions and decontamination techniques, security operations, and intelligence development. I later completed my BS. and worked in the counseling field for ten years.
I have continued to shoot and hunt. I first started “prepping” by insuring I always had what I might need in the field and just converted that to civilian status when I got out of the Army.
I have been prepping for 2 or so years, seriously for the last 9 mos. (about).
I'm looking for a group to serve with. I know I have skills that could benefit the right people. I will not join any group unless I feel really good about it. I am born again and try to live by that daily. Jesus of Nazareth is my Lord.
I currently live in Springfield,MO but I am seeking a less urban setting. The northwest would be good.
